Mike Bristol, owner & developer
Bristol Brewing Company
“We knew Ivywild wasn’t an ‘off-the-shelf’ project, and we needed a bank that would take the time to understand the renovation of the school and be able to see the potential for
our business and the community at large.”
In the summer of 1994, Mike and Amanda Bristol settled comfortably in the lap of Pike’s Peak and began brewing distinctive ales for the people of Colorado Springs. Today, their award-winning beers are available on draught and in six-packs across the state.
Bristol Brewery helped revitalize a neighborhood in Colorado Springs by turning a cool, old elementary school into a lively community marketplace. The Ivywild School opened in the summer of 2013 to widespread buzz and success. The road to opening can often be complex, but Central Bancorp’s banking team helped pave the way.
Central Bank & Trust supports Bristol Brewing Company
“Tony Leveque and the crew at Central Bank & Trust (a division of Central Bancorp) took the time to understand the project and navigate the process to help us achieve our goals. Tony’s expertise in the SBA lending process and the local ownership of Central Bank & Trust attracted us.”
Central Bancorp was proud to be a key partner to ensure the success of the Ivywild project. Our expertise in the SBA lending process was important, but it was also our local team that was with Mike every step of the way and our local relationships with the community that ensured the process went smoothly for Mike.
“Having a local relationship with someone who understands our business is important.
I would recommend other business owners to Central Bank & Trust.”
