To build a better bank,
we started with better bankers.
If you’re familiar with the local financial community, you probably know our bankers—at least by reputation. We’ve brought together our area’s top experts—professionals who are respected for consistently enabling our clients to achieve success.
They have the experience to help you and your business chart a long-term financial course, one that fits your circumstances even when those circumstances change. And, since expertise is useless if you can’t access it, our entire staff of professionals is always available to you.
Big Picture Banking
It’s so true, it has become cliché: your financial needs are diverse. So when you decide to bank with us, we ask a lot of questions to determine your goals, current capabilities, personal and business situations, and—yes—your wish list. We develop strategies that enable you to reach your goals faster, even if those goals change along the way.
Built On Relationships
Open an account at Central Bank & Trust, and you won’t get a directory of phone numbers. You’ll get a business card with the direct line and mobile phone of your banking team.
Have a question?
Your banker will get an answer for you right away.
Need a specialist?
They’ll arrange a meeting.
You won’t have to navigate a call center full of strangers, and you won’t hear, “it’s not my department.” You’ll save time, but more importantly, you’ll have access to one of the widest ranges of financial services in the region and receive the most personal attention.
Looking to expand its suite of financial services offered, Central Bancorp entered into an agreement in 2008 to acquire Farmers & Stockmens Bank located in Clayton, New Mexico and opened Central Bank & Trust as a branch of Farmers & Stockmens in 2009.
“This bank is tremendously well-run and has demonstrated consistently strong performance,” Ron Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Central Bancorp, said at the time of the acquisition.
With a 90-year history, Farmers & Stockmens provided a stable banking platform from which to open and grow Central Bank & Trust here in Colorado Springs.
Both banks operate with an emphasis on good, old-fashioned service as part of their core purpose. Because of the recent upheaval in our national economy—and especially in the financial services industry—service levels have become more important and more noticeable to clients.
Many customers choose our banks because of the personal service and responsiveness—as well as solid relationships—they find with us.
Central Bank & Trust and Farmers & Stockmens Bank are managed by their own staff of local employees, branch managers and market presidents.
