As mentioned in my message from last week, Central Bancorp has prepared for numerous events and emergencies by developing alternative work arrangements for staff, including the ability for most team members to work from home. Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our employees and their families, and the community at large, we have decided to implement this remote work policy for our Colorado Springs office for the next two weeks. We have implemented this remote work policy in the past due to extreme weather events and believe that you will experience only minor changes to the exceptional customer service that you are accustomed to receiving. While we will still have key operational staff members working in the Colorado Springs office during the next two weeks, we are suspending access to the building for all other employees.
Bank operations will be fully functional, the primary adjustment will be that our bank lobby in Colorado Springs will be closed starting at 5PM today, 3/16/2020 and all transactions will occur via our drive through teller lane. We encourage all of our bank clients to leverage our online and mobile banking platform in lieu of in-person interactions. Additionally, telephone banking is available to all customers.
All operations in CB Insurance, The Corundum Group and CB&T Mortgage will continue as usual, albeit with most team members working remotely. We will continue to evaluate conditions for our other locations and will switch to a remote work environment should that be deemed necessary. We will provide updates as needed and hope to be back to normal operations in Colorado Springs by the end of the month.
